Founded in 2022, Mmila Mela is made up of dedicated like-minded individuals who are passionate about empowering local communities. With a strong belief in the power of collaboration and community involvement, the team at Mmila Mela strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those living in rural areas of Maun.
Founding Directors
Mmila Mela was founded by Onkagetse Olesitse and Alexandra Connolly who met in 2020 in Maun. They share an immense love for Botswana - its people, culture, and wildlife. They are committed to seeing rural communities thrive.
Project Coordinator
Moanamisi Masedi (Nami) is our project coordinator, making sure everything runs smoothly. Nami is a highly motivated go-getter who's life’s calling is to support and inspire others to take charge of their future.
Admin & Operations
Our administrative work and operations are managed by Itlhopheleng Nowa, affectionally known as Tops. He grew up in a rural community and is passionate about storytelling, sharing skills, and uplifting youth.
